National Citizen Service (NCS) is an experience to make you feel unstoppable. If you're 15* to 17 years-old, this is your chance to embark on exhilarating challenges, make your mark and build skills for work and life. More than 200,000 young people have already said YES to NCS. Don't. Miss. Out. #SayYes
From Bishop Auckland to Berwick, Redcar to Rothbury...NCS is a once in a lifetime opportunity to change your life and learn the things they can't teach you in class.
Why say yes?
- UCAS recommends students include NCS in their personal statement
- You learn the skills employers value
- Learn to budget and live for yourself
- Meet incredible people
- Get your voice heard!
Is it for me?
In one word – YES! NCS is a chance for 15 to 17-year-olds to come together and achieve amazing things.
Let's face it – life's too short to be stuck indoors. So why not kick-start your future with a summer you'll never forget! Thanks to government backing, the most you'll ever pay for this unbeatable experience (which costs £1,400) is £50, but this cost could be £10 or even free depending on your circumstances.
When, where & how?
NCS takes place in the North East outside of term time, so no matter what your commitments are or what your summer holiday plans might be, just register and we'll get you on the next available NCS spot to suit you and your families plans.
NCS is open to all year 11 and 12 students in school and college (or older if you're an SEND student).
In the Summer, NCS programmes run from July - August.
